We honor, Rajshree Chauhan during National Women’s History Month
It’s National Women’s History Month and in this post, we’d like to honor and share the spotlight with our Software Engineer Intern superstar, Rajshree Chauhan where she shares what this month means to her and a little more.
What does National Women’s History Month mean to you?
For me, Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s achievements despite the problems they have faced and how they have contributed to making this society a better place. It is to honor all the remarkable ladies who came before us and fought for equality among races and gender. It is time for us to learn, understand and appreciate the strength and determination of women across the world.
What topic do you feel is top of mind for you and all women inside or outside of Eskalera, and why?
A topic that is top of mind for me is how to create a workplace culture for women to thrive and a place where their opinion matters and they are encouraged to express their ideas. There is a need to acknowledge that women also want challenging and fulfilling careers and need to be equally pushed to their potential.
How do you think Eskalera plays a part in making a difference for women?
I am grateful to be part of Eskalera. Eskalera gives an opportunity for people to understand and cultivate an inclusive work culture, understand biases and help mitigate them. It also helps in improving the work environment by raising awareness of the different feelings and experiences of your co-workers. As a company, Eskalera is giving me the opportunity to make a difference.
What elements of National Women’s History Month do you want to bring into the future?
During this month, I was extremely happy to have the opportunity to attend the Women Impact Tech conference where I met amazing ladies. It was inspiring to meet so many strong and smart women, many of which I hope to see more in the future. I’m very much looking forward to following their journeys and wish for more to join us impact and contribute to society in similar ways.
What strengths do you see in yourself?
I feel my biggest strengths are my commitment, willingness, and creative thinking.
What are 3–5 compliments you want to give other women?
I want other women to know: You inspire me. Your energy is infectious. I love the way you make me think. It is amazing how you go above and beyond to get things done. You are a leader.
Thank you, Rajshree, for sharing your thoughts and your passion and for being part of the Eskalera team. Let’s all remember to lift each other up, support and continue to celebrate one another.
